The Southern Utah Art Guild is proud to present its Holiday Art Show that will run from November 2nd to December 19th in the Red Cliff Gallery. The show theme is “The Gift of Art”.

The show was judged by Sandra Feldman, Debbie Bice and carol Pederson.

The show features 150 works of art from 36 Southern Utah Artists. The show features contemporary art from all mediums including all forms of painting and mixed media, photography, pottery, sculpture and other. This show is a miniature show with all 2D art being 12x12 inches or smaller including the frame and all 3D art being 12x12x12 or smaller. All the art is for sale.

Every home has room for a small piece of art. The miniature art in this show are high quality, original pieces that are reasonably priced for every budget. These pieces make a perfect, unique gift for the holiday season.

The show also includes the DSU Art Department’s “Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Showcase”. This exhibition features the art of BFA students: Jody Gerber, Christina Christensen and Annie Bird. The students have 38 oil paintings on exhibit. T

he show is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. There will be an artist reception on Thursday, November 8th from 7 to 9 PM honoring the DSU students. The public is also invited to meet and support the senior DSU artists. T

The Southern Utah Art Guild is proud to present its Fall Art Show that will through through October 25th in the Red Cliff Gallery. The show theme is “Color Explosion”.

The show features 165 works of art from 54 Southern Utah Artists. The show features contemporary art from all mediums including all forms of painting and mixed media, photography, pottery, sculpture and other. The art is a blend of whimsical / fantastical pieces to landscape / still life / pure abstract paintings, and a variety of 3 dimensional pieces. The show is a blend of small and large pieces that will meet any taste or budget. All the art is for sale.

The winner of the peoples choice award for the "Only Abstraction" show was Brandi Mostowy for her painting "Vejle".

The SUAG’s Summer Show – “Only Abstraction” is now open in the Red Cliff Gallery.

The term “Abstract Art in St. George” was always thought to be an oxymoron. Abstract artists generally felt that they “need not apply” when considering to enter local art shows. Well not any more! Forty-six adventurous Southern Utah artists left their comfort zone and “came out from behind the red rocks” to participate in the SUAG’s second annual “Only Abstraction” show in the Red Cliff gallery.

The show also features 28 paintings from 24 artists who are in the Memory Matters Utah program. Memory Matters Utah, formerly the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society Utah, is a non-prophet organization, serving individuals with dementia and their caregivers. The exhibited art is a part of the “Fun Art” activity. Research has shown that Alzheimer’s disease does not affect the creative brain cells in an individual. If a patient can do anything creative they feel more successful, and consequently they are happier, more relaxed and satisfied with themselves.

The “Spring Fling” show runs through March 31st in the Red Cliff Gallery (located in the City Commons Building, 220 E 200 N, St George). The show is open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM, except Holidays.

The Southern Utah Art Guild’s Winter Art Show, “Winter Blues”, will continue through February 8th in the Red Cliff Gallery.

This show illustrates how 31 artists interrupt the theme of winter using a variety of mediums and styles from realistic and impressionistic photography to impressionistic oils and watercolors to abstract acrylics, glass and mixed media pieces. The result is 79 unique, original pieces echoing the same theme – “Winter Blues”. All of the art is for sale.
