Southern Utah Art Guild is a non-profit organization. Board meetings are open to all members as well as the community. Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend but not participate in the business meeting. There is opportunity after the business meeting concludes to have round table discussions.

SUAG Membership

SUAG membership dues will now be on a "Calendar" yearly scheduled payment will be due January 1st of every year. If someone signs up in June their dues will still need to renew the following January. SUAG has one of the least expensive yearly fees of any art guild and has so much to offer its members for the $35.00 yearly fee.

Lyn Boyer "No Fear Art" Workshop

You don’t want to miss this workshop at Arrowhead Gallery in St. George, Utah with award-winning artist Lyn Boyer of Durango, Colorado.

Thursday, Nov. 11-Saturday November 13, Boyer presents her three-day “No Fear Painting" workshop. The cost for the workshop is $575. SUAG members may sign up at the reduced price of $375. Contact Arrowhead Gallery’s office at 435-628-9592 from 11 am-2 pm, Tuesday thru Saturday to reserve a space in the workshop with a $75 non-refundable deposit. Remaining balance due on or before Tuesday, November 9.

The workshop consists of a demonstration/lecture by Lyn each morning, followed by participants painting in the afternoons. Lyn will also paint in the afternoons and circulate amongst participants for individual comment/instruction. Participants are encouraged to paint in their medium of choice, including oils, watercolor, acrylics or pastels.

The workshop will be limited to 15 participants, so early enrollment is encouraged as the workshop is expected to sell out. For more information, contact the SUAG Program Director, Kyle Denning at 760-822-5877 or [email protected]

Our next SUAG Art Show at the Red Cliff Gallery is June 18-July 29. New Gallery open hours are M-F 10am-5pm and Sat 2:15-4:15pm. Assistant will be at the gallery M-Sat 2:15-4:15pm to help make sales. The theme for the show is "Only Abstraction." Up to 3 pieces of artwork may be submitted.

Award money for 2021 has been increased in all categories. The dollar award allocation is as follows:

Best of Show - $150

1st Place - $75 each Category

2nd Place - $50 each Category

3rd Place - $35 each Category

8 Honorable Mentions – (4 for painting, 2 each for photography and 3D) $15 each Category

People’s Choice Award from previous art show - $30

The 'In and Around St. George Wall' at the Arrowhead Gallery is a very popular interactive way that locals and out-of-town visitors can vote for their favorite artists. Submissions from Arrowhead Gallery artists can be submitted the first week of every month. The wall is a great attraction for people to see what artists have created. We are so pleased about your excitement, spontaneity, and collaborative efforts in this latest project. Prizes are awarded at the end of each month.
